Drumming Circle
In my experience, drumming circles are
most powerful when they are in conjunction with the moon and seasons. I
run a small drumming circle whenever possible on the evenings of each
full and new moon, and also on the evenings of the equinoxes and
solstices.
If you have never experienced the power
of the drum, or the po wer of these special occasions, and would like to
learn more about shamanism, these drumming circles are an incredible
introduction. And you don't need to be able to drum or even have a drum! Of
course, if you do have a drum, a bodhran, a djembe or any traditional
instrument of this type, you are very welcome to bring it along.
The dates of the full and new moons are
as follows, but you should
contact me
for exact dates and times. The Full Moon Names are based on the
ancient names given to each full moon by the Algonquin tribes who lived
in the region that stretched from New England west to Lake Superior.
