Seichim
You will find the
name “Seichim” written several ways. The most common are Seichim,
Seichem, Sekhem and SKHM. These differences are due to the phonetic
differences applied to the Sanskrit original. Probably the most
accurate is actually SKHM as it uses no vowels, but it is a little
difficult to pronounce!
Seichim was
“discovered” by American architect Patrick Zeigler in 1979, when he
managed to hide from guards and passed a night in the Great Pyramid
in Egypt. He began the night by meditating in front of the
sarcophagus in the Royal Chamber but began to panic when he heard a
strange noise. He calmed himself as he realised that the noise was
just mosquitos, amplified by the walls of the chamber. But shortly
afterwards, he heard another sound, like someone walking and he
thought that he had been found. But no one came and he became
afraid. Then he saw a wisp of blue light swirling above him: the
light descended until he was engulfed within it, and calmness came
over him. He felt the swirling light both around him and within his
heart, and he passed the rest of the night meditating with the blue,
healing light.
Patrick began to
have visions. He decided to spend a few years in Yemen and India to
learn about esoteric healing practices. In 1983, Patrick returned to
the United States. There he worked with Christina Gerber, a “channeller”,
to try to better understand what had happened to him in Egypt. She
channeled a spirit guide named Marat who spoke to them with an
Egyptian accent. Marat had been a healer and teacher some 2500 years
ago and told them that the name of this healing energy was Seichim.
Marat then gave Patrick a healing symbol to be used for initiating
others with the Seichim energy.
The energy of
Seichim is the purest, healing energy: so it has the same source as
Ki, Chi and Prana, but it seems to resonate or vibrate differently.
It is as though the Reiki energy is a white, harmonizing light from
above, from the sky, whereas the Seichim energy is a rainbow of
colours and seems to be more in tune with the Earth energy. More
often than not, the energy of Seichim is called to complement the
energy of Reiki for the benefit of the patient. The two work
together.
